Explode Your Bookings Using Strategic Partnerships

Strategic Partnerships are hands down one of the most powerful strategies you can implement for your holiday rental to see explosive growth.

Tourism Groups

Who plays a part in attracting people to your area?

Right now, I can guarantee you that there are at least three tourism groups who’s main role is to attract visitors to your area.

The state you’re in, the region and the suburb.

Knowing that these groups are some of the first touch points for visitors to your area makes them a very valuable strategic partner.

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Visit their website and navigate to their blog page. Have a look at what they are already posting and send them an email asking if you could contribute. Give them a few article titles to ‘whet’ their appetite.

2. If you have a keen eye for detail, take photos of your accommodation and/or area, either from the ground or in the air (drone) to provide some spectacular content for them to post on their social media.

3. Offer them a FREE 3 night ‘luxury’ getaway to promote to their audience. This will generate such a buzz and if their audience is large enough, this one strategy could book up your entire year.

Local Retail Stores

Who services the visitors to your area?

There are two main wins when partnering with local retail stores.

The first being, they have their own online network that you can leverage, whether it’s their website, social media or an email list.

The second being, they have products or services that can enhance the holiday experience you are offering your guests.

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Create a special welcome hamper using products sourced from local stores. Pitch the idea as a great introduction to guests who have money to spend whilst on holiday. This can be food items, gifts or handy gadgets.

2. Ask local retail stores for a special 10% off discount for every guest that stays at your accommodation. Let them know you are creating a welcome pack which will highlight their business and special deal.

3. Ask each retail store in your area if they require valuable content for their social media, website or email list. If they are trying to grow these channels, this will be an easy win.

1. Ask local attractions for a complimentary ticket to their attraction that you can place in your welcome hamper, knowing that the one complimentary ticket will bring in more paying visitors.

2. The other option is to ask local attractions for a special 10% off discount for every guest that stays at your accommodation. Let them know you are creating a welcome pack which will highlight their business and deal.

3. Ask each local attraction in your area if they require valuable content for their social media, website or email list. If they are trying to grow these channels, this will also be an easy win.

So now you have 3, (well, more like 9) different strategies you can implement right away to make your accommodation stand heads and shoulders above the rest.
